Objectives:
- Apply what you are learning in your study of English, communications, journalism, or advertising by working on the communications aspects of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Create original copy which accurately portrays clients' businesses and properly positions them in the marketplace.
- Review all written content for errors and make proper corrections.
- Majority of time will be spent writing, reviewing, and editing copy for web site development projects
- Write policies and processes which are universally understood
- Work with other project team members to develop effective and exciting online user experiences.
- Search engine optimization for web sites
- Opportunities for leadership will also be available
Requirements for Position:
- Currently studying English, Communications, Journalism, or Advertising
- Demonstrate a commitment to remaining in this area of study
- Willing to learn new things and ready to accept challenging projects
- Ability to manipulate the English language in order to effectively communicate to different audiences
- Ability to easily acclimate yourself to and learn the user aspects of new user-friendly technology systems (phone systems, email systems, user logins on web sites, etc.).
- Ability to locate resources in order to tackle a problem or acquire a new skill
Work Scheduling:
- Specialists typically work 10-20 hours a week, depending on personal schedule and the number of hours needed by the company.
- More hours may be setup for time periods when classes are not in session
