Student Specialists Take Control of Projects
The specialists of Bentzinger Consulting are given a level of responsibility comparable to that of the professional environment they will experience when they graduate. Specialists are expected to be resourceful and find answers to questions they have about projects.
Away from Campus
The Slater Office of Bentzinger Consulting is located 10 miles south of the Iowa State University campus. Specialists must be able to provide their own transportation to and from work. This location was chosen to allow team members the ability to escape from campus and focus on work. All work remains at the office and projects are not taken home or to campus to maintain the separation between work and school.
An Integral Part of the College Experience
Many efforts are made to provide specialists with flexible schedules, which allow them to be successful at both work and school. Specialists are able to schedule work times around school projects, school events, important holidays, and family events.
The Experience
Bentzinger Consulting has developed a program which is a unique hybrid between the usual on-campus job and an internship. Students receive an abundance of real world experience in their area of specialty combined with compensation, flexible scheduling, and an excellent success-oriented environment. Student specialists have the opportunity to work on projects which are implemented and make an impact on the lives of small business clients. These experiences combined with a college degree should give graduating student specialists an excellent resume and great chances for success in the future.
Job Stability
In order to develop strong relationships among coworkers and clients, specialists are encouraged to begin working at Bentzinger Consulting as soon as possible and stay until they complete their undergraduate degree.
